Thought it about time I dug out some of the engine tin ware I have and get it sandblasted and painted, here's the first batch (91 pieces) loads more to do.

Solved a problem never knew I had...Adapted a short throw shifter to maintain the tighter action, but bent and lengthened the stick to gain the leverage.
Hand falls right next to the wheel, WRC style. Alittle bit of finishing, but feels really good...
Cheers

What I did to my Rennshift a few years ago, just 50mm on top and the change is much better.

Connected some power.

Ok so making light bulbs come on is not a major electrical achievement, but I’ll take it as a step forward!

I had to move the 914 so I took it for a 15min drive. Started first time and ran well. Itching to go on a longer trip

Bought some refurbished rear brake calipers. Not very exciting, but necessary, I suppose...

Decided to have a few days off from the pesky engine rebuild.
A run out in the Boxster to Ludlow today, Shropshire looking fab, roads muddy as hell, so a good wash this afternoon.
Targeting all the Lola work done by end of Feb so I can find my 911 again.

For the first time ever someone's happy the spacesaver weighs a tonne. It's blowing a gale outside all of a sudden, and the bonnet's sitting in place with neither hinges nor the catch attached, so I ran outside in my pyjamas and deployed the spare wheel and a slab of granite.

I visited The Machine Shop in Hinckley to prepare my timing blade for the next Sprint/Hill session. I noticed another member who had powercoated some tinware and it looked like he had some 912 heat exchangers in his todo box. After a quick chat I found out he had bought a 912. To restore it to sell. I guided him to here so maybe he will be along soon.
