I went to Sainsbury's, which is quite an achievement considering that I came home on the yellow truck of shame the last time I ventured out. As that all went well, I drove the kids to Covent Garden for sloppy burgers at Meat Market. No problems whatsoever ! Woohoo! Still haven't managed to get the rear qtr windows to fit so the anoraks amongst you might spot the rear qtr trim is missing.

After a good run yesterday the 3K rpm 'beat' is still there, so pulled all the plugs (3.2 engine) and #4 is definitly weak compared to all others which are so even to each other.
Suspect a dicky injector.
Took the lead off and back on, hoping it is just a bit of corrosion.
Not bad though for a 120K mile engine that has never been apart.

I washed it- baked on fly and grot from last weekend. Then I took it for a boon down the A3.

Engine fully rebuilt / upgraded to 2.5 specs
Early start on Sunday for an extensive test drive on empty Swiss mountain roads
Zurich - Klausen - Furka - Nufenen - Gotthard - Ibergeregg - Sattelegg - Zurich = 450km
Engine didn't miss a beat
Happy days!

Took the 356 to Devon to join the local PCGB for the Historic Vehicle Gathering at Powderham Castle. Nice day out.
Met up with fellow DDKer Jonathan and his 914-6, jwhillracer on here.
Some other interesting machinery around, not all steam driven. The Bentley La Sarthe is pretty cool. Pity I don't have £290,000 spare change for the basic (without options) price tag.

Fitted a new seat belt for the wife, old one knackered after 24 years of use.
Went to get some fuel for the weekend rally and got chased by to lads in a hissing Cossies who blasted past at Mach 20 and promptly turned immediately into a pub car park...
Is it only me who seems a target for such boys?
Saw Matt72 going in the other direction in his black 2.2T!

One of my favorite ways of spending a day as well. I take it you're based around Zürich?
