Had a great weekend at Loton Park, if a little lairy at times! The re-packed silencer clocked in at 103dba (108dba max for the class), so well under, a great improvement on the past couple of weekends.
Set a PB on the first timed run, and then pushed tooooo hard on the second, trying to break into the 57 sec mark - I know now that it's on, just got to do it! :bounce:

All of the timed runs are here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UYdW5tkJ_wk

The first full batch of each session (Batch 2) has quite a number of road-going Porsches, including our own Ross, and Laura in our car, (starting at 4.45 ish for the second round) and batch 3 has the modified cars staring at 45min and 5.13.
The meeting also had an amazing attack from many of the British contenders on the outright record, with 15 runs through the day under what was the record at the start of competition. The record started at 43.18, and was taken down to 41.76 by the British Hillclimb Champion, Wallace Menzies. A staggering amount of time to take off a record at one meeting! 8)

Altogether a fabulous event, thank you HDLCC!

The meeting must be right up there with the best.

Everything that is GOOD about this sport was there, thrills and spills and no crashes and great bacon butties!
Top 12 run off's were out of this world and surpassed even Shelsley Walsh earlier this year.

I think a few of us have fresh goals to chase next year! :alien:

No, that’s Paul, Yellow491 on here. He was narrowly beaten in the Midland Championship by 1 point.
Fabulous effort in a 911

Today I learnt that I haven't fixed the fuel gauge and that I shouldn't of ignored the empty light.

RAC wouldn't help with fuel issues.

I had to run/walk to a garage. Buy a can and then wait inline with the other cars.

While I was doing this someone came and gave Mrs B some.b at least we have a nice visit to the Jet Museum just outside Coventry. Another great engineer screwed over by the management

If you need any hints on how to go hillclimbing, you only need to ask...

No, it was a very tongue in cheek response to Yellow491, the VERY experienced Mr Howells. ;)
