A few kind souls had asked how the body was getting on, well here's the latest. There had been the odd delay over Essex way
but it's all back on track and steaming on ahead. Here's the car all in primer down the sides now, so for the first time you can
really see the unique shape of those wings together, really pleased with them and really glad I went down the prototype route.
Now that the top and sides were ready for paint, I threw Bruce another curved ball and mentioned a couple of mods to the floor,
like welding up the holes from old harness fixings and putting in a couple of new ones, and while we're there lets bash out a
couple of dents.......
only one thing for it, bring on the rotisserie
so let's repaint all the underside again as well!

Top quality as usual Mike, you must be going through similar stages, and decision making that the factory went through with the prototype.
Any more photo's of the front wings?

Excellent work Mike. Nearly there.
Now you've got it completely stripped to a bare shell and on a rotiserie it can't be long before you're finished.

Looks fantastic. Must be a real rollercoaster ride. Should be waving your arms above your head shortly.

Jokers!

the smilie I was really looking for was a hand formed into an O type of shape moving up and down in an action from the wrist...

Hi Dougie, I've been lax in photographing the fronts as I've concentrated more on the rears, but there's an awful lot of work
that's gone on there. Jamie started with a brand new pair of Porsche wings then cut out the arch and grafted on a pair of Steve
Monk formed RSR arches. Unfortunately the Monk arches weren't a great fit, and as you can see from the top left pic they had
to be cut in half and then stitched together. After hours of getting the right general shape, it was the attention to the actual
lip that really took the time. Again I wanted a unique shape, on one hand to to replicate the prototype but on the other to find
a shape that sat well with the rears as well, just to make the look flow a little better than the awkward original.
I've created a set of pictures here from Jamie's progress pics, to give a flavour of just a little of the work that went on.

So are you in paint yet? - I'm not sure if some of this stuff was ages ago or recently re-done

Sorry Mark, I know it can be hard for those who are a little disadvantaged....
Just went back over the front arches for Dougie who asked about them, but basically all ready for paint bar a few more hours
tidying the floor then priming the underside. Will talk more of the paint mix when we get closer.
