Phoned the specialist who has had the 964 for 9 months to listen to his latest excuse.

Saturday 930 put back in storage.
Picked up Monsier Aubergine from trimmers last night, very pleased with quality of finish.
Car goes back to painters today for final polish.
Looking forward to CLM

"I'm just waiting for the crank to be collected"
"I'm just waiting for the crank to come back"
"The crank wasn't finished correctly"
"My wife broke her knee"
"I'm just waiting for XXX part" (D'you mean the one in the bottom of the box I took over to you a couple of months ago?)
"Its next on my list" (x7)
"It'll be ready on Friday" (too often to remember)

Lovely bloke and a craftsman, but hopeless businessman.

Bought my new insurance cover from Hagerty this morning.

What excellent, enthusiastic and quick simple service!
Never known this before.

Oh, the most comprehensive and cheapest/mile I've found for my 73T with a 3.2 and other 'tricky' mods.

no wonder you all give then 10/10.
He spoke fluent 'DDK' to me; felt right at home.

Dead chuffed.

£213 for 4K miles, 30K agreed value and 30 days cover abroad (roll on SPA in Sept!)

Took my car for it's MOT, which it passed.

I even fitted a front number plate for first time in probably 4-5 years!

Image

and finally fitted the RS race style lightweight bonnet holder....only taken me 7 years....

Then stickered up for CLM 2014!

Wasn't mine btw…..being polite he didn't actually say although he spent an absolute age drooling and gazing at Richard Huckle's Tangerine T…..pretty much left Barry speechless…..which if you know Barry, is some achievement! ….
