Great photos, thanks for posting. Disappointed I won't be in my 911 for this trip, but air-con will be a bonus by the looks of things

We got as far as the petrol station, filled up, and it wouldn't restart. Pushed it the 100m or so back home and now we're trying to figure out why there's no spark. :(

Today has been a little more eventful. We stayed overnight in Rouen. I noticed the car dropping some oil on the floor by the left head. I decided to leave until the morning. After a very pleasant run in the wood a joining our complex I checked I had put on the valve covers correctly then I checked the engine bay and a bolt which attaches the tinware to the head was missing. I borrowed a bolt from elsewhere but we stopped at to buy some temporary replacement. All sorted I thought but when pulling into a petrol station I checked for oil and saw leaking petrol from the left carb! The flat 19mm bolt which holds the pre chamber filter was loose. Unfortunately the 19mm spanner was missing from our kit. We where just about to superglue it when a we were helped out by someone taking their TVR to race. Then 2 hours of trouble free motoring brought us to Mont Saint Michel where we changed 100 HP for 2!ImageImageImage

I see Mr and Mrs Laing look to be involved, there can't be many yellow 550's out there mixing it with you. Top class, enjoy. Makes sense to take the Continent crushing left hooker.
