While car parts were being brought into the house.....rude not to take some pictures of other items.



I am going to be selling my BBS LM's from my 993 Turbo and needed to take some pictures for ebay and the like.



The new speedlines are for the 993. Lovely wheel, heavy in comparison to the BBS's alloys.

Looking back through the detail when I bought them, Front BBLM099 8.5*18 LM 5 *130 ET56, Rear BBLM144 10*18 LM 5*130 ET 50.

Loved them on the turbo. Probably suits WB cars more.

Have to say looking back at the pictures, the 993 turbo is a stunning car. Just never fell in love with it.............fingers crossed the 930 takes hold.

Having the fan housing bead blasted and cleaned revealed some minor cracks on the rear. Opportunity to get this sorted before I have them coated. Had this sorted at work by one of the welders, the metal is thin and was starting to break up. I only need it to be solid, aesthetics are hardly an issue given this is at the back and wont ever be seen.







The rocker covers are having a clear chromate finish done locally. I have opted to paint out the fan housing and fan, they are badly pitted and I don't particularly want to have to drill out the rivets and zinc and chromate then join again.

Hoping to try and reproduce something like this is terms of colour and contrast, love the look of these engines.

Stopped in to see this chap today, he polished several parts from my Alfa.



..dropped off the exhaust. While the engine is out its the best chance to get it looking a bit better. Not going for the full polished look, satin finish this time. Scott did a quick section with his wheel to make sure I was happy. Fingers crossed it all comes up as well.

....apologies, I should really keep things in the correct order. New bezels arrived from Palo Alto Speedometer. I tried one of the originals that has been refurbished and while it was good, the finish was better with the new ones. On the basis the money was spent, I used the new ones. (210hp, turn away, all I can hear at times is you saying " its only original once!").

The car has slowly been coming together, all of the underside that was showing signs of rust has been treated with Por 15 rust treatment then sprayed with Kent rubberized stone chip guard. With all of the suspension stripped off and the engine out its too good on opportunity to miss and coat out all the areas that you cant access. Once everything is completely finished I intend having it coated completely by the body shop to give it a factory look finish and proper protection.

Old door cards from front and rear have been stripped off, these had suffered water damage in the past and mold had eaten into some of the leather.

all new front and rear along with door caps and trims. Looking forward to seeing this all in place.

Chose to powder coat the fan and housing as mentioned previously, these images were sent through earlier. Not the original or correct finish but I think will work well in the car. The blades have been filled to prevent fowling which I believe can be an issue if powder coated. There is a lot going on in the back of a 930 so viewing is limited.

Quite enjoy getting rid of years of grime.

Really like the style of this car, interesting video watching the photography element as well.

is it just me or is that front valence/bumper a bit odd looking though? The rest of the car is great..
