It will drive a lot worse on those 18s than correct 17's...

It's on 18s at the moment and 17s may be the best route as I'm going for new wheels and tyres

Could stick with the wheels I've got - they do work with the yellow

Yellow certainly suits a 993, the first 911 that works in yellow since the pre-impact bumper cars. IMHO.

Is there really no evidence of yellow anywhere on the car? Having just done a colour change on a 993 I can tell you it's an enormous amount of work to remove everything in the engine bay and luggage area to do a proper change

Yes there's evidence, we found a fair few bits so hence my earlier post to say I kind of knew the COA was going to come back yellow

The colour change was done very well though and finding he yellow paint was more when paintwork was done as to it being obvious

The luggage bag and engine was all done very well

Yellow was the launch colour and it was on the cover of Autocar that did the road test. I bought the BMW 325tds that was also road tested in that issue.

No real progress yet unlike that other 993 resto thread

Just gathering ideas (and a few parts)

I like this - Speed Yellow and Gold.

Update....

No progress

New house purchase looming

Plans on hold again, probably clean up a few bits and use it for another year or so

So good and bad - possible new house has a lovely big garage though

I've seen this pattern before......House, wife, child, divorce. Repeat.

Think you've broken the cycle with this one though. Hope move goes smoothly mate :thumbright:
