I like my luxury, but that is too expensive for this kind of event. The only other option was to split the group into different hotels, but then we'd have lost the atmosphere that makes these DDK events so much fun
Anyway, it appears one night only stays for over 60 people need to be booked a LONG way in advance.
So, after spending all day on the phone to various places I have finally found somewhere for Saturday night![]()
This is a hotel that satisfies all our requirements :
good hotel
good price
can feed us all at the same time
has a good bar
large secure carpark
located at the edge of the dales
What you all need to do now is BOOK YOUR ROOMS DIRECT ASAP with the hotel. Remember, this is for the SATURDAY night ONLY.
All details can be found in the member area :

I'd rather all details of the hotels, routes etc was kept in the members area , so please no posting about the location in this thread
Details of Friday night hotel to follow once I've had a rest

But i've raised it up now so it'll ok in september....
Loads of opportunities MikeMike Usiskin wrote:Couple of question of a boring but practicable nature. We don't know whether we'll be with or without kids at this stage. If we are with kids will they be able to get out of the car and burn off steam from time to time and will there be any places on the way for them? Obviously we won't want to stop the group at all so if it means we do a different route etc. so be it. It's just that they both love the DDK so! Asha's promised to look after George, though since she'll be 6 i wouldn't go too far away
