Hi,
Well a few things have changed since my last mail

the car now has a new owner, and as the new owner he wants a few different things.
The first is a colour change. This does involve quite alot of work... but the car is now going Gemini Blue.
Bye bye Purple
The dash was stripped to change the colour
Anyway, refit is going well...
Also the front suspension has been changed as 3.2 front discs and callipers are now going on. Thus, the struts have been change, with new front adjustable konis and bilstein rears.
Thanks
Alan

Ahhh.. shame the purple's gone.
Still, should look good in Gemini too.
Looks like the colour change hasn't hindered progress too much.
Ready for Christmas?

I'd forgotton you'd said Gemini: for some reason I got it into my head it was now going to be Silver (

, doh, don't know where I got that from

).
As Paul says: looks as though things are marching on well

You are doing a really wonderful restoration and it is a joy to watch it progress so quickly.
I am really pleased for the new owner to get a colour that they like and secretly a bit relieved that if it is not purple anymore and it will not seem like my car any more - so I will now not be jealous.

Shame to loose the original colour, especially after finding the signature

but it's the purchasers cash after all.
Have you brought the next resto yet? was it a Targa?

Hi,
Sorry, I have not updated this thread as I have not worked on this car in while, this is due to my wedding plans, yes it has happened, after 15 years I finally asked.... so May it is ! and boy does it take some arranging.
Anyway..... back to the targa....
I have now started to fit up the doors and fit the carpet (which I actually quite like doing).. The carpets are the original Salt n pepper style and the fit very well. I have had all the panels and rear seats re-trimmed in black leather and will be fitting replica sport seats sourced through early911. More pics to follow
Thanks
Alan

Looking good Alan. And congratulations of the 'big ask' - you'll have a great day I'm sure. Take it that Porsche will feature at some point
