Spent three hours making the wheel arch flange straight/even on a brand new wing...
Detail obsession is not healthy, but once you’ve spotted it’s not straight it’s got to be fixed...
I was supposed to be painting the underbonnet today!

Porsche OE what do you expect
They weren’t bad, it was just the line of the return flange wasn’t straight and was rippled towards the lower rear edge.
About to get a coat of epoxy inside after lunch.

Bled the brakes (thank you Gunson Eezibleed!) and replaced front pads with EBS Greenstuff. I hate messing around with brakes...

Building yourself up to spending a couple of days setting the venting clearance and the handbrake on the rear callipers?

There are 2 fluids I hate on a car.
Brake fluid and gearbox oil closely followed by CV grease.
All have to grow out of you even after double sessions of washing up.
Hoping to flush the 911 brakes next week, last done about 8 or so years ago...

I moved a shim to tighten up my fan belt on my 3.2 Carrera.
I also (after a lot of fiddling) managed to adjust the engine cover release cable so it would open easily.

Deep clean wash today of the 911 only to discover 6 deep stone chips on the nose and front valance.
Some careful filling to morrow, but as the paint job was only £1500 not too bad.
It would kill me if the £10K quote I had was used...

The reason I am looking at it is that there is a slight misfire which is getting better as I get through the fuel but was quite pronounced to start with.
I have not yet driven with the new filter although I did start the engine and check for leaks.
Just for the sake of completeness I thought I ought to add that the misfire was still there but less pronounced after the fuel filter change but now I have run the fuel through and filled up with the super expensive Esso non ethanol fuel the occasional misfire is gone so it was a pretty simple fix that may be applicable to other people in these strange times.
