Re: porsche vid. of the day
It requires a pull on both shifter paddles. Bit tricky to do, I imagine, if you're deep in a hairpin with too much understeer and need to flick both paddles :-/

pdk is a twin clutch operated boxrevo wrote:Exactly right but did not realise you had the ability to do that in a PDK car which is basically an automatic with no clutch pedle as far as i am aware but could be proved wrong, wouldnt be the first time.
"PDK is essentially two gearboxes in one, thus requiring two clutches. This doubleclutch transmission provides an alternating, non-positive connection between the two half gearboxes and the engine by means of two separate input shafts. The flow of power from the engine is transmitted through one half gearbox and one clutch at a time, while the next gear is preselected in the second half gearbox. Therefore, during a gear change, one clutch simply opens and the other closes simultaneously, enabling gear changes to take place within milliseconds."

Video from Josep in his 911R style car driving the road down to Sa Colobra in the Trumantera mountains Mallorca .
Driven this road many times in a hire car , bet it's great to do in a proper car .

Brilliant, just needs a display case to keep the dust off.
