Driving day ... Took the 964 out for a run to see if we had cured the hanging clutch pedal( we have ) ... loverly Yorkshire weather

Got the new pulley oil seal in. Took for a test drive. Parked back in Week 1a (teenage daughter choose the colours)

First hillclimb for 2020 under strict C19 rules, good to be back out though with so many friends.
Car ran really well, driver made only a few mistakes, and just 1.5 seconds off my PB.
Racing tomorrow.

Wish Id seen your other post earlier as one of the Hiedi and Franny videos shows how to solve just this problem.
Just ordered a new seal for mine , so I can try and keep a clean engine bay.

Changed the oil because I'm currently reading Which Oil by Richard Mitchell (a 912 owner who had recently rebuilt his engine).

After 20 mins I took the large collection pan out, lower the car and put a small container underneath. Then I went out for 4 hours. I thought judging from the small amount that was dripping I would have almost nothing in the container but almost filled it.

This morning I took Honey for an early morning blast and loved it. Saw an immaculate light green DB6 on the Erskine Bridge on the way home

Also finally washed off all the mud from Bo'ness 2019!

Great to be running at Shelsley Walsh today, lots of super strong Porsches and a few DDK'rs there in amongst them.

Sean nicely confirmed I was doing the right thing. Good to have a friend to help. However, like the u turn to visit Althorpe House, the slow breakfast at Hook Norton and having to drift corners to keep with the Essex racer I will be hearing about it forever

Always happy to help. See I do know something about engines in spite of my gormless appearance
Althorpe House never raised in conversation.
Slow breakfast never complained.
Essex racer............Erm guilty as charged. Was fun though! Clive thought it was the best drive he had that year. We should do it again soon. Favourite quote of the day " WE ARE NEVER DRIVING THAT FAST EVER AGAIN"
Is the flat4 drive still on? Lets do it in Essex. Some great roads around here and you don't have to drive through fields full of bulls!
