What did you do in/on/for your Porsche today?

It was interesting being on track in my lovely seats - BF Torinos. But they were appalling for track work. I reckon I had back ache after about 5 laps. If I'm going to do more, then seats with more lateral support will be needed. And I want to do more, the car was fantastic. So well balanced.

Took the 911 with the wife with Gary's seats in for a test drive to Ludlow.

Traffic free roads after Bridgnorth was passed, nobody in front, nobody behind in full sun and countryside, what a treat.

Indeed, the seats are too, fabulous for several reasons, sit a bit higher, but only an inch or so, recliners are great, perfect driving positions, so no pins n needles as is sometimes the case.
That's me sold, but Mrs H thinks they are not that much better than the seats beforehand, you have to translate this to:

How much?
Mmmm, I still have the same room, recliner is great but....
New curtains for the lounge are £750 (about one seat) and you need money for your other projects and toys....

I feel, so far, this is silent No. I'm not done yet convincing her.

I love the look, the comfort and the being able to recline and break the back to gain easy access to the rear.
Hope you don't want them back too soon Gary!

Don’t think the problem is the seats, it’s the car.

No matter what you do with it it’s an old 911. Even in fully stock form (but with extra sound proofing) mine is poorly ventilated, noisy and far from relaxing.

As others have said if it makes the car more enjoyable for you (and marginally better for her) then just buy them.

Flog the Boxster, buy a TT spend the difference on the seats and curtains!

And maybe take the roll cage out.
