PS - brings back memories of hand cutting tyres for rallycross to suit track conditions on the day...
For another 5000 safe miles.....

First TIPEC club run since lockdown. Just a handful of cars to stay with the rules than a socially distanced chat at our destination in Thornton le Dale. Good to get out again, saw loads of classics about too.

I think every one of those pictures is breathtaking.
The engine is of another level, everything huge and heavy, what a project.
As to the rear arms, I cannot imagine how all those sell!
Another skill indeed.

Looks cool, but not sure about that flat centre cap?
I have some ARE caps that I was told fitted early mags - not 100% if they do though?

The caps are only eBay ones to fill a hole - nothing to do with Group 4 Wheels.
The hole in the wheel is 47mm in diameter, so am looking into getting some period-correct ones made.

If they fit a 47mm hole, then yes.

Lovely, but a better pic is needed!
Went to north Wales for a few days away, first hotel stay since early October 2019.
Maybe you all know, but the EVO Triangle is now covered with average speed cameras.
Did 350 miles in all, Snowdonia very busy, hotel great (3rd time there) and COVID adjusted and opened last Thursday. Bit of some normality.
Trucks on every road, hit 60 mph in places, hounded by 2 boy racers, one in a BIG Volvo and another in a tired loud Nissan 350Z, both proved they were Big Guys
Not sure there is a purpose to a sports car in the UK now. Hope to dis-prove that later on a road trip.
Boxster starting to white smoke again on cold start, getting tiresome.
