Not me, but Ben Lewis - lower bulkhead panel handmade to replace rusty original. Annoyingly, held up waiting for a floor repair panel to arrive. Well-known parts specialist said yes, no problem. We'll send it off straight away. Turns out it was to be drop-shipped from Restoration Design Europe, not sent from stock. Still no sign of it a week and a half later...
But, hey, I've still got the Renault to play with.

took my fully (and expensively) expert restored rev counter out as it has stopped working after less than 100 miles of driving.....This was after i had had to self repair the fully (and equally expensively by the same expert) restored clock which didnt even have the decency to work at all after i fitted it, mainly because the soldered fuse connection in it wasnt (fused or connected) which even i could spot from 50ft in a windowless coal shed.....
Sent rev counter to a man in a shed in yorkshire who has determined it to be 'broken'......but he can fix it

Re: What did you do in/on/for your Porsche today?
When he has fixed it (hopefully) i will share the details as they might be useful to others. Fixed price of 95 quid. Not restoration which i might have mentioned i had done very expensively by an expert, just the repair.mycar wrote:Who's your man in a shed in Yorkshire ?

And the expert when i asked him about fixing his shoddy workmanship, had the cheek to say 'why dont you send it to the bloke i use in holland '- so he hadnt even expensively (or otherwise) even restored it in the first place and now it was my problem!!!! - nothing to do with me mate....... i am so cross with this.

I had sent mine to someone in Yorkshire for repair first but they could not repair as the car had CDI so I had to pay for its trip to Yorkshire and back before sending it to Hans Peters !

This seems to have come round quick!
MoT today, just 1400 miles in 12 months.
Bit sad that.
All ok, no advisories except that I should drive it more...
Had the car MoT'd here for 30 years now.

Thanks, the lad who did the test could be my son, young!
He struggled to find reverse, kept on trying to press it down and looking for a collar to lift.
He loved the car.
It drives so well.

Know EXACTLY how that feels!
We were all ready in May for a Grande Tour, then a shorter one in early Sept (SPA etc).
Looks like it will be Scotland.

Check the rules in Scotland. I only realised today our trip in the camper to Ayrshire next month might not actually be possible.
