Yes, engine and gearbox out yesterday, down to Exeter, and by 7.30pm the culprit was found, the roller bearing on the end of the 1st/2nd gear cluster, which had been perfectly quiet before the last re-assembly.
Thankfully nothing too difficult, should be up and running in plenty of time for Harewood.

Yes, I think crossplies are cheaper. £820 for a set of FF2000 ones. Smaller though

BMTR on the case right now. Availability of tyres and people bit of an issue, lots going on around the UK and a hillclimb championship in Ireland too this weekend.
Hope to get them before Shelsley Walsh weekend after next.

Looks good, we are very lucky that BMTR come to our meetings, so makes new tyres and any changes easy at the circuit.
Especially when you are trying out a new set of used mags, wondering whether prev owner sold them for a reason. Then you try them with new tyres to find, yes, the PO did sell them for a reason, three round and true and one less so!

There is a competitive competitor who turns his race tyres after every race and quali to get the most even wear out of them. BMTR are very helpful in that case!

I think our last set of crossply slicks were about £1500-1600 a set. I can't say for certain because I've forgotten the price already!!!

Great to hear you're please with the engine. We were out on Sunday but I watched your Saturday run on YouTube and tried to see Sunday's but I couldn't find it. I'm not sure it was shown - do you know what time you went up?

Costs? Too scared to do that yet...

Times on Practice Saturday were slow as I was treading carefully.
Sunday was better, about 46.5 and 46.0 something I think. PB is 45.33.

TVR was all over the place but will be my Nemesis.

I beat him on first run by miles, he beat me by 3 hundredths on second run.

Take the EVO Mini out of the equation (in another Championship) and I won the first and second in the second, so we have equal Championship points.
