Due to the scarcity and unreliability of original pumps,I will be fitting this set up- http://aeromotiveinc.com/products-page/ ... fuel-pump/ - http://aeromotiveinc.com/products-page/ ... regulator/
These will be hidden from sight, and two original pumps fitted but not plumbed in,as per photo.

Sounds like a sensible option Dougie.

Jigsaw slowly coming together...

…..received a couple of update photos from Gary…...shiny stuff always looks good! …...



….we decided to go with gold plate on some parts!….



….the wishbones are new items that were stripped…..



…..and then strengthened…...Gary suggested adding some drain holes…...but I like slots!….



….back onto the final stages of paint this week and getting the good vibe back again!

You could weld some tabs onto the a-arms and fit 993 air deflectors to get some more air into the centre of the brakes. Easy to do, looks factory from underneath, but no-one sees them normally. I have them on mine - not sure they make that much difference, but like Tesco: "Every little helps" - Getting cool air in there has to be some use though, doesn't it?

Slowly, slowy, catchy, monkey!…..

A few weeks ago the car looked like this….



…guide coat sanded back and high build primer applied it now looks like this…..awesome transformation! ….



…considering it had a new roof and the rear quarters were unpicked before being refitted the gutter detail is sublime …..





…..in fact there is a huge difference in how the car looks and we're just about ready for colour….first though we're attempting to use the fibreglass rear bumper that came with my E, transforming it into a narrow body, short horn bumper with room for twin tailpipes….



….first job…get rid of those flares! ….

.....I read that it originated from Colonial days when soldiers were taught by locals how to catch a monkey for a pet by using a piece of fruit in a jar....you had to be slow and patient!......

...whatever the correct wording/source of the proverb, what it does mean is that this build is taking a bloody long time!....

.....but hopefully done right!
