Stripped the front end - wings and front panel, surprisingly clean underneath only one area of rust on the splash panel about size of 10p. Getting the wings and front panel dipped to remove paint. Main repairs to wings are lower rear sections and a little bit on one of the indicator mounts.

Just leaving North Yorkshire after a 4 day get-away to the Pickeringish area.
Lovely place, little traffic and super smooth roads.
Stayed in a very sleepy village pub in Levisham where rush hour does not exist, or ever has.
Used the Boxster of course.

slightly ironically .. I dont drive to Pickering if I can help it as there is too much traffic / tourists around there
. Speed camera vans like it around there too
Levisham is nice . Pub is listed as one of the pubs you must go to due to location / quaintness etc . Did you drive the Blakey ridge over towards the Lion inn from Hutton Le Hole .. most famous road in the area due to all the magazine shoots that take place there. Weather wasnt the nicest this week.

Good Southern Money filling up the tills!
We make a change to the local tight Yorkshire Men we were told.
Nice part of the island, last there about 40 years back, but will go further east next time.
Whitby was a big disappointment but everywhere else we went to was nice. Never seen sooo many 'Fish and Chips Here' signs in all my life.
Some nice local beers, probably for the tourists...food in the pub was superb and the place was so relaxing, excellent.
The road to the village came as a surprise!
Hurried picture hence parking on the fence.

Re: What did you do in/on/for your Porsche today?
Indeed, we zig-zag'd home today and struck out west from Pickering and then south as time was running out.
That was much nicer, rolling hills, very green and some nice villages and towns despite the rain.
We went to go on the steam train and to see some other sights, but the coast disappointed.
It took 2.5 hours to break free of the clutches of the West Midlands getting there. Tedious journey so came home the long way and minimised the runs on motorways.
The Boxster is currently 'sepia brown' all over.

Re: What did you do in/on/for your Porsche today?
Went to view a 996 and a Cayman (by chance) today in the perfectly performing totally smoke-free Boxster (been a month now no matter how I use it).
Wife like them both which doesn't help, the 996 was fab.
