Yeah, what’s a heater?
Something used by people who drive their cars even when the sun isn’t shining

Went to the last Bicester Scramble today, ticket only and SO much better for it!
Just the right numbers in the place.

As I've said before, this is the best Classic Car show ever in the UK.
Will spread the pics later, but a fab day out.

911 ran a peach in an early hot rod way, totally analogue, total concentration, drove 'over' the wheel vibration and danced with the side winds on the M40.

Impossible to choose which car I would have taken home, far too many great cars, but the 911 was not a bad one to use in the end. :)

Autumn light from a strong sun and blue skys meant 80 pictures, but here is just a few.

And just to prove we went in the 911 and not the $7xst8r

Today I took my Porsche to my mum's house. Where it will rest for as long as it takes me to build this to move it back to:

No, silly. That's a picture of what I'm going to build IRL.

And no, I haven't packed in Minecraft. What else is there to live for?

Well done Sam! We have just finished the main structure of my new garage/workshop/man-cave.

Now comes the scary bit, fitting it out. I've never had a brand new garage and workshop that I can start with from scratch before..... :)

Excited - me? - you bet!! :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

PS - Sorry, I can't get the Porsches inside until I have had the yard concreted and the floor covering done...………

Very nice JW!

While you can, I would run hot and cold feeds to a big sink outside the dunny. We put our old kitchen in the garage, and plumbed in a double sink. Sounds a bit odd, but it is amazingly useful;

- No cold fingers when washing the cars
- Parts washer
- Somewhere to clean the BBQ
- Washing brushes, paint trays etc etc - not in the house = brownie points
- Going in the house with clean hands = more brownie points
- Could also be somewhere to fill the kettle, though I am not allowed a kettle in the garage as she says I would never come in

Oh, and big speakers up in the corners. I have an old surround system complete with sub woofer - BOOM! The only downside is not being able to hear when tea's ready....

Oh, and a trophy shelf - you will need a very big one. I used to have a trophy room but when I decorated it she renamed it the downstairs toilet and I had to move them out. I am sure Margaret is more understanding but there is an opportunity for brownie points....

Enjoy!

Cheers
Wayne

Hi Wayne,
Hope the Mods allow it as what I did FOR my Porsche today...………

I have a big Belfast sink to go in the loo for all the reasons you give.
Strangely, I'm not allowed a kettle or a fridge for the same reasons...….

Working on the sound system, it's a distance down the list for now.
Lights and basic power to be installed this week, and hopefully the roller shutter door.
My lift ought to arrive this week, ordered from Ireland, so it had to come this month - apparently there's some chance of disruption around Halloween????
However it can't be fitted until we get the floor finish laid in early November.
Hmmmm, trophies. The roof timbers of the bungalow might rise a foot if I took them all out of the loft.
BUT - I am literally gaining Brownie points, as I have promised that the girls can take over the tool shed for all of their Guide equipment once everything is sorted - double point score, It all goes out there, and we get a lot more room in the bungalow! 8)

I'm sure it won't be just that simple, but that's the basic plan - for now!

Cheers!
JW

I have done over 100 miles in my 914 this weekend. It is still a long way from being finished, but I thought I should iron out some of the wrinkles a full rebuild inevitably brings.
