i know its not christmas yet, but i brought myself a little something incase santa doesn't come to number 76 this year
any info greatfully received; its a seamaster 120 which i think is 135.027 model with a manual wind movement from around the mid 1960's. i brought it based purely on the fact i fell in love with it; paid casio money for it, so even if its worthless i don't really care (and would still like to know)
no strap; currently toying with maybe a NOS ploprof mesh or a correct (?) stainless bracelet. will probably rock a nato for the time being until i decide
its a bit tatty and beat-up but don't really care, will strip it and service it but not planning on over-polishing it or replacing parts for fear of loosing its charm or wasabi-sauce or whatever it is you guys call old knackered watches

nice shots!.. the colour of the dial looks great against the snow
strip and service will consist removing case back, remove crown and stem, remove movement, remove hands, remove dial, then service the movement..
i'm not good enough to fully service a movement; i can just about manage to oil one and manually regulate one but this will require more. it will be sent as a complete movement to a friend who will completely disassemble, clean the bits (which is done in some weird ultrasonic machine that looks woryingly like a deep-fat-fryer! ), reassemble, and regulate it with a machine
meanwhile i will be doing nothing to the case, dial, hands, and glass as i love it the way it is and don't really like over-polished restored things.. i'd rather keep it with its history in tact if you know what i mean
because of that i think i'll go with a nato strap as nothing else is going to match properly

Picked up a very clean Jacky Ickx Heuer/Leonidas to add to my growing Heuer collection.
Crap movement but a piece of 70s cool!
