with so many issues with the brakes, is it best to totally replace the sealing parts in the master and wheel slaves, all new flexibles etc?
Obviously, brakes should not vary, be there every time without question.

Would not cost that much though could take a day to do.

Converted US-spec rear lights to Euro-spec by using amber LED bulbs, thus keeping red lenses but getting amber turn signals. Works a treat. Converted front US marker light/turn signal unit to Euro-spec two-bulb set-up with matching lenses. Removed bulbs from marker lights in front wings. Swapped US sealed-beam headlamps for UK-spec left-dip type. Just got to get the washers to work now...

Wonderful drive on some of the best roads in the Cotswolds to PCGB’s R31 Coffee and croissants meet in Buford this morning. Really nice friendly bunch and a most enjoyable outing, my second to this venue, though only one DDK candidate present. You can find a calendar on FB if you fancy a drive out.

More investigative work on the 914: removed sill covers to discover sills/jacking points are rock solid. Looking through paperwork that came with the car, in 1995, it had new panels fitted and a repaint totalling $5000. Me happy man.

Hi Keith, out of interest can you confirm what led bulbs you used for this? I tried this on my US import and wasn't satisfied with the results so bought euro lenses. However I still have the originals so may revert as I like the red lens look.

They're from Horizon LEDs - very good service and quality. Just bought another few bulbs to do the front indicators, reversing lights (which actually work – amazing for a 914) and stop/tail. These are the ones I used for the indicators at the back:

Note that they almost always offer a discount code option, too, which is worth taking advantage of.

Went to the Essex cars and coffee on Sunday in the 73 T and drove it like I stole it! I forgot how great these little cars are, the handling, the noise, fantastic. Had a bit of a scare when the car in front stopped abruptly, and I skidded to a stop. Those were not the only skids marks that day

Enjoyable little show.

The last two days we've been bumbling around the cotswolds for our anniversay get away.

1 little tweak if the dizzy is all that was needed. very happy with this car. i may not sell it.
