cool saxon, i think the official start time is 8am, it'll probably only take 40mins or so to get to husborne on the M1 form Staples Corner at that time of the morning. there's loads of carparks around that area - brent cross etc., if i'm over that way today i'll see where's best to meet then we just need to agree on a time

i'm thinking 7-7.30 if that's not too

for everyone

Also, what time would everyone want to leave Husbourne Crawley??
Is 11:30am too late, too early??? Your thoughts please.
Ad.
OK Adam, Are we still on to congregate for an 1130 departure: where, how , why and who- and will you be wearing the red carnation and a copy of Saturday's Racing Post under your arm?

Will sort out a route this week (will photocopy at work and habd it out to everyone. Still waiting on the VSCC (or whatever they call themselves) to see if we can have a designated display/parking area in Silverstone. No joy on getting a price reduction on the tickets though so still £10per person.
I may not be able to make it as the wife is due to give birth on 25th and if the little bugger comes early........
Will post details here regardless.

I now have a dilemma.
I put off the body shop coming round to quote on the Beetle's paint etc so I could go on the Sussex drive last Saturday (glad I did 'twas good fun).
They are now saying they can come & quote on the 23rd (did anyone else notice it's St George's Day?). Bum.
I can either get up horrifically early (I'd have at least a 2 hour drive) & then have fun or I can get eventually & finally get the Split project moving forward.
Decisions, decisions.
My current thinking is to sort the paint.

OK people, is there going to be a convoy to Husborne Crawley leaving from the London area? Perhaps meeting at London Gateway services at Junction2/4 at say 7:45am?

Thomas, Perhaps this topic could be merged with the other Husborne Crawley thread (Porsche Swapmeet 23rd April) so everyone is in the picture!
