Having spent a great deal of time getting flawless paint inside i wasn't in a rush to stick anything to it so I pieced together the black rubber like sound deadening ( a 47 piece jigsaw) that sits in the rear rear seat pans and covered in thick van / camper lining material. It's a thick highly formable material that's given a really pleasing finish and allowed the sound insulation to be reused. Now to have a lightweight carpet set made in a similar colour.

Also finished head lining and A / B Posts so ready close to installing front screen.

Just ordered what seems like a small fortune of trim rubbers / seals and gaskets which will allow me to gap and do final fitting of bumpers and bonnet etc.

I like the high build stands

Fortunately they are adjustable and held to height with pins but with 2 internal hydraulic jacks its simple to lower or raise both front or rear ones simultaneously.

I designed these as a stop gap till I got a scissor lift instaled but I'm starting to question if I really want or should I say need to install a lift for this project...these stands are doing just fine

Finally weather tight......maybe the bank will allow me the chance to remortgage against her..

Gearbox checked over and ready to go......I've collected a couple of engines and decided to build something from this 2.4.....

An afternoon setting the torque on all the front suspension after which a dab of yellow paint to confirm all is good..

Interior starting to take shape.....







Pleased with how the home made door cards have turned out

Rear suspension and oil tank....

The engine may some months away but took a few hours to install the poly bushes...not in a rush to see another bush any time soon..

And finally to bring the diary up to date a picture of the front end all gapped and with seals in place...starting to look like a car again.

Time to set up the rear brakes....
