No, there is another, the position of the 2.4 badge on the engine lid, it should be half way up the grill.

So after a year in Canada I am back in the UK and now want to try and find the original engine for my 2.4S.

I have put an ad on the early 911 registry board but I need to find:

6330944 engine

I have a superb 2.4S engine in the car at present but would really like to re-unite the car with its original engine if I could.

Anyone got any suggestions please?

I was chatting to Nick Fulljames about a number of cases he has and how he'd love to one day find an original home for one or two of them.....I asked him to send me all the engine numbers with a view to starting a lost and found thread on here which I think would be a great idea.....

.....obviously the odds of any of his cases being yours is very slim but I'll ask the question......you never know!
