I don't know why they always put them up so cheap: it makes it so obvious it's a scam  .

I think basically its because theres always the dreamer that thinks hes going to get the bargain of the century 3k porsche and he carnt wait till the bank opens the next day to wire his 3k before anyone else beats him to it.

I dont think these guys aim the adds at anyone who knows anything about porsches or what ever it happens to be offered in the scam as they know any serious buyer at serious money would want to see it.

Its quite funny I bought a pennine folding camper earlier this summer and bid on one that was a scam and I had an idea it was when I bid. It went for 4k and was really worth about 7.5k if it was as advertised. The guy tried every excuse in the book to get me to send him the 4k. Everything from send me the money then ill give you my address this is to protect myself from scammers/thiefs right through to claiming he had throat cancer and couldnt speak when I asked for a phone number. I just strung him along to see how far he would go with his excuses.

Interesting Bootsy.....

Tell your mate that I sold a "Strikingly similar one" for £16,000 the day before that advert arrived !!!!!! :drunken:

If I could buy my silver one back for circa £3,000 then I would be the happiest chap alive ..

Hawkeye

ps. Any further on my jacket or is it easier for me to buy from GP Originals? I have no probs with a simple refund if it helps you..

Don't worry too much. I have ordered another and this one, with you, is a pressy for my Dad who assisted with finance, polishing and running around with the sale of my Silver 73.5 CIS. When it arrives he'll be delighted but is currently not aware of it. So all is cool.... no panics.
