Ah, I see. I'll take the plugs out and turn the engine over on the starter. The car's in the dry now and won't be getting wet . Yes, I uppose that the water getting in through the intakes is the only explanation.
I was considering taking off the other heat exchanger to see if there was water in there but I suppose there's not much point, it will soon come out when the engine's running.
