I asked very, very nicely :)

In all seriousness I was just fortunate with timing with Gary wanting to get it done quickly and kindly shoehorning me in to his very busy schedule; Mike was also very accommodating but easier for him being a gearbox and work that he could do brilliantly even if asleep and blindfolded!

Both great guys 8)

... and press silver button ;)

Used to spit the tape out, but for some reason, hit the silver button just as the tape drops into place and it works

Nothing as pleasant as the previous, dear wife drove over a pothole in Lewes on Sunday, unfortunately lurking beneath the waves was a nasty bit of ironwork that sliced the sidewall out of the almost new tyre. Instant deflation and of course the new Cayennes don't carry spare wheels just a tube of glue to stick in the valve, however, this isn't much good when the hole in the tyre is 5 cms across. Thankfully our insurance includes vehicle rescue and the man with the wrecker turned up in less than half an hour, the next problem was Julia had her mum (Very old mum) with her and she lives 50 miles from us. She couldn't get a taxi on Sunday afternoon so kindly truck man drove mum all the way to home in Peacehaven then continued on to our place which is near enough Surrey. On the blower next morning to Cridfords, please can I have a Pirelli Zero N1 295 35 x 21. Certainly sir, that'll be £242. And if you have gone down a pothole it might be an idea to have the track checked on the Cayenne as well. Ok, that's another £150. Just what you need before bleedin' Christmas. Happy Holidays everyone.
