...however I still had a niggle as I'm pretty sure two of the cars measured had original front bumpers with the same dimensions......and then when it came to fitting the front bumper (a major, major pita!) Barry decided we did need a tad more width to keep the shape and integrity of the bumper so he got out the cutter! .....

Now perfect and bang on spec! 8)

A balls ache for Barry, more expense for me but in the grand scheme of things a potential 'if only' well and truly dodged.

Happy Days :)

...soz, was typing!

And Barry said they actually look exactly the same as they did to begin with!....which is a good thing :)

Good grief, he is so impressive!
Major bee-in-the-bonnet banished, well worth it.
Fabulous.

Extra time on these metalwork areas are never wasted....perfection takes time....costs money...but is always enjoyed for years after the pain has receded....

Pure Darren & Barry awesomeness, thanks for sharing!
I am blown away with each project home many little details turn out be be specific for this and that model. The great thing about it is that it sharpens your eye for those many “concour restorations” out there.... :drunken: :blackeye:

Keep going strong, Darren - already excited to see the next steps! :)

Definitely worth the extra time and money to get it right at this stage of the work, especially given the investment you are making in all those period correct parts.

Amazing stuff, those photos of the front arches before and after are pretty gob smacking. What skills!
