That's my boy - just how I envisaged my graphics - about the only similarity I will manage with this beast of a car (and the clock delete blank of course:-))Ferry Man wrote:As for the graphics, I'm going for 'PORSCHE' down each side and on the boot lid with just an inch strip around the front bumper and rear bumper ends.sladey wrote:do you have any decals/stripes planned? I was thinking on the bumpers, porsche scripts etc - or are you going for the nekkid look?
You mean like :-

I also like this ST with the PORSCHE script on the front bumper :-

Will you retain the small rear red reflector on the bumper as some I have seen ?
Car is looking great - good choices by you and work by the Nick's.

the blue is too light to work with the white (IMHO) - you need the black!Ferry Man wrote:Er, Mark, we haven't seen the mock-ups yet. You can't vote in the poll yet.sladey wrote:in black - absolutely perfect
But what's your gut feeling? Black or white?
The simple things you see are all complicated
I look pretty young but I'm just backdated yeah

Not necessarily!Nige wrote:White on turquoise will look like a Suzuki Vitara. Black all the way, trust me.

I can understand the anticipation, there's a palpable sense of expectation. Sort of.Northy wrote:I'm getting withdrawal symptoms!
I have allowed Nick a little respite to look after his other clients for a change, I didn't want to be accused of prejudicing anyone else's project.
I will get some more pictures soon and update things.
I'll consider myself nagged.

A big milestone reached... ...the engine fired up.
Fired up real easy too. No problems.
It sounds wonderful. Strong and melodious.
I'm now really itching to drive it and get at all that torque.

The car sounds even better with the exhaust caps off.
It's a deeper tone, much more 'throaty' but not all that rude.
It's louder but certainly no where near as violent as Mike Usiskin's.
Strangely, because noise testing microphones are aimed at only one outlet (and yet the sound comes out of three places), it might yet test quieter. We'll see, it'll be an interesting comparison to do.
Overall (with caps on) the car appears much quieter than my 2.4S.

Just follow the instructions! We have twin MSD-6AL-2 units, each firing one coil. These units have a rev limiter, adjustable to 100 rpm, so we can control Paul's right foot during running inMike wrote:well done Paul, and more's to the point Nick!
