From the start this project was never supposed to be a big money project, and originality was never an issue. I am not cheap, but if I can save money in one area to benefit another I will certainly entertain the idea...todays project was to take a generic interior mirror and adapt to fit.

Mirror picked up for 7 quid !!! which was worth it alone for the 'old school' box graphic...

fitting plate is too small to fit, so cut a piece of plate and bolt it through...

weld around, remove bolts and plug weld the hole...

dress the weld...

and painted, ready to fit

Money saved over original part pays for Euro POB deposit, and the rest.... :)

Treated myself to a new low clearance Trolley Jack ( well early Birthday present from Mrs Jury, shes great! )

Its huuuuuuge, but looks the part !!! It looked alot smaller in the picture...

Don't forget to write the change date and mileage on the oil filter in white marker.....extra pro points for that

I like that torque to spec yellow paint - always wondered what that was for...I think I'll do that on my car too....what sort of paint did you use?
