The car has acquired the moniker of the AIN'T car.
That's originally was because it AIN'T quite blue and it AIN'T quite green.
However it's taken on a particular relevance now my wife Lyn says "you AIN'T sending any more cheques to Nick!"

Hi Paul looking fantastic! but you don't think smaller engine lid pull down toggles would look better? Hope you don't mind me mentioning it 8)

Yep - it's looking great - do you have any decals/stripes planned? I was thinking on the bumpers, porsche scripts etc - or are you going for the nekkid look.

Also, you might have covered it earlier but what size are those front wheels?

It looks fabulous Paul.
I really really love the colour and the thread is an inspiration.
It was your thead on your green car that woke me out of a 20 year apathy and made me do something about my purple car.
I am now trying to be strong and to resist the urge to spash out on something else.

The car is still on slave wheels, those on the front are currently 7Rs, it will have standard 7 x 15s

If those 7Rs are only slaves you'll be wanting shot of them :) I'll take them off your hands and help you keep the place tidy

I thought that (and even bought a set of the smaller ones) but frankly they looked too small, they 'disappeared' under the boot lid lip and they didn't work or 'hook' easily. Having seen the bigger ones used on the rear before we tried that, liked it and settled on it. Trust me, they look right. :)

Yeah trust Nick to use 7R's as workshop 'roll arounds'.

The car will run normal 7" x 15" and they have more offset than the rims shown. The front arches will be filled more than shown here. Probably with some spacer too. I wanted to retain a light and responsive steering feel, so avoided the 8's used by some folk under ST arches.

Mark, yep, some decals.
I've got a set of blue ones I won't now use and I've settled on a set of white ones (which I've also got set aside).
However, consensus at Early911 is to go with Black.
So, I think I'll Photoshop a couple of different mock-up photos and invite opinion on the forum.
There seems to be plenty of opinion available here so let's tap into it.

As for the graphics, I'm going for 'PORSCHE' down each side and on the boot lid with just an inch strip around the front bumper and rear bumper ends.
