So a quick update:

Rear arches panel beaten to perfection. Epoxy coating applied. Front arches welded ready for Neil with his hammer & spoons. Phil making good progress on rear bumper quarters.

Hi Gabriel

In a word, lots!

We need to:

- flare the rear steel quarter bumpers to suit the arches;
- fettle the S-R front bumper to suit the wings;
- fettle the left front wing to fit the turn indicator housing;
- weld the dead pedal in place;
- weld the chassis strengthening plates to engine bay and tunnel;
- weld Repa harness mounting plates in place (door sills, tunnel, parcel shelf);
- drill holes in shell for battery cut-off, fire extinguisher pull handle, number illumination lamps, door mirror;
- weld threaded ‘crow’s feet’ plates in place for safety bar;
- weld twin coils mounting bracket in place in engine bay;
- weld oil catch tank securing tabs in right front corner of engine bay;

I think that’s about it but I’ve probably missed out a fair few things!

And as if by magic the next parts score and the perfect compliment to the last find (not much more to find now - I’ll post a list separately) is this original, repaired and tested Behr front oil cooler kindly offered to me (unprompted) by Dougieboy1 - thanks so much!

Spectacular finds indeed, congrats Matteo! :)

By any chance, do you know of a specialist who can repair damages to the cooling net of these rare gems?

Thanks,
Jan

Thanks Jan! Can’t wait for Angus to get started on the shell again in the summer!

Dougieboy1 is the person to ask who did the repairs for him. It was only the brackets that required attention however…

Thanks for that, Matteo!

Welding on those brackets is not critical in comparison. I tried 2 cooler specialist here in Germany but both came back with no solution to a defect cooling net, unfortunately.
