Darren, I'm liking the shape posts, very educational. The new bumper looks excellent.

difficult to pick up on these details when you just glance at cars so great to see these comparisons ... going to be a special car Darren

Gary Cook called in on Friday to go through parts, make a list of items needed and take away what was needed for plating and powder coating......
.....he then went over the shell and commented on items to check or amend.....30-odd observations later!.....
.....the 'to do' list just got a little longer.....soz Barry!
Cheers,

Very poor attention to detail.
2/10 must try harder

.....it's called learning on the job!
Most of what Gary highlighted was simply to check and reference, such as chrome/black washer jets because the scuttle hole is different (all 74's were black from what I can deduce).........74 was obviously a turning point that evolved considerably over the next few years and certainly helpful to catch a couple of items now rather than after the car has been painted!
With so few of these cars built, and especially being well used race cars, one of the hardest things is trusting reference details from original cars which clearly look like they were produced in 1984 rather than 1974!
Cheers,

Good morning Darren,
How is "working off this list" coming along?
Since those pandemic days do not allow for much to look forward to, The Porsche Freunde like me would absolutely love to see how things move along on the Flares animal.

I sincerely hope you are personally doing well, most importantly.
Cheers
Jan

iirc in the past Darren does a whole bunch of actions then avalanches the lot out making a very good update indeed.
I feel the dam is about to burst!

.....also pleased to hear there's some interest in the project chaps although sorry to say that cars, projects and forums have been far away from thoughts of late......my DDK catch up list is mahoosive!
.....the RS has remained untouched and parked behind a clutch of old Citroën's awaiting its day.....
....the initial plan for Barry to visit a few weeks after the car's return has long since passed and a later arrangement for him visit in November has gone by the wayside although I'm sure we'll make plans soon....

....I've not been totally idle and did manage to find a rare 74-76 wiper stalk ....
....whilst Gary Cook found me a left side indicator stalk to match

....
....whilst the 77 C3 is a great base for this build I didn't initially realise there was still quite a bit needed to make it look 74 and these two year only stalks are one of them....
