But how will you fit it under the Xmas tree?

Nice progress, but hasn't this car now been finished and got a stone chip?

He's probably about to start restoring a 2016 Panamera...

Well, I've not driven it yet but I'm confident I'll be able to get it under the Christmas tree without Santa's help.

The eagle-eyed will have noticed a few pictures showing the rebuilt engine in place so it's time to go back a little and show you the work done by Redtek.
Here's where my problems started, this was revealed when the engine was taken apart:

A little JB Weld wasn't going to fix this....

I turned to Redtek to rebuild the engine as I’ve used them before and I consider them to be the best. They built the engine in my turquoise ST (that was a superb engine!) and they did the 2.7 MFI motor in my lime green Carrera. So, I know their work well. I also know Nick Fulljames well both as a customer and friend. I trust him to do a good job at a reasonable price.
So, I sent him the engine & gearbox with the instruction to return them to me rebuilt better than new.

I resisted the temptation to go wild with this engine, I was offered options like bigger barrels & pistons but I decided to go with a standard build. A brand new 993 would be good enough, thank you.
