Some people take a world cruise, some visit Ayers rock, some a Caribbean Island, some just call it quits and get stuck into gardening or DIY, me, when I retire, plan a big European road trip visiting places I've always wanted to see (I'm not a good flyer) and I realised after the last hot hot CLM a lhd pre 74 targa in a safety colour would be the car of choice. I'm planning well ahead........

Mike

Thanks Darren

I can't help but be totally impressed with your work, Barry's skills and the results on all the projects you have completed and those you are still involved with. However it looks like a very long queue to get on this ladder so a resto thread looks years away at the moment. Like I said, I'm planning early but I'm wondering if there are alternatives that can achieve the same end result as, say, Richards wonderful targa. I know there are lots of skilled people on DDk in areas I'm not going to tackle but there are things I will do myself. I'm willing to wait for the best job but I do have a rough time frame in my head so I'd like to make a start once I've done an inventory of what I have and what I need.

Regards
Mike

Good stuff Mike, well done.
A mountain of enjoyable work in front of you. Will it be finished in Signal Yellow?
