Following Hendrick et al cross country to Spa

Image

Huge accident just as we were walking in

Image

Being circled overhead with the best view of the track

Image

And you get to see (for me at least) one of the greatest circuits in the world

Sunday; very early birds – at the track for just after 8am – despite questioning whether I could ever eat a Yorkie bar again after the night before briefing

Image

Petric and Bootsy had our 6 covered – thanks chaps

Image

Tracey was calm and pleased we were taking it steady (just a quick clip more to prove to myself that we actually did the Green Hell in the little tub 8) )

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JMWu8pvFNNw

We were v fortunate to have the track almost to ourselves – about a dozen cars and only 1 bike on the lap.

This was far too common a sight later in the afternoon – to the point where after 3 track closures in one hour bikes were banned for the rest of the day

And before we knew it we were back in Hull for goodbyes – until the next one

Interestingly that accident was at pretty low speed under the safety car after a previous car had rolled on the way up Eau Rouge.

I bet they got a bit of a telling off from the Clerk for that!

Yep sorry we must have got to the car park first, waited 10 mins and nobody else pitched up. So we tootled off. Sorry we missed saying goodby. Should have been a little more patient.

Kind regards

A great weekend and good to meet a few more of you - really is such a relaxing atmosphere and always full of laughs.

The photo's capture the tour perfectly but unfortunately I don't have any better ones to add.

As has been said already, thanks to James and Brian for all the organisation which made the tour work so well.

Looking forward to another trip next year.
Regards

Simon

It’s the people that make weekends like this & that’s the great thing about DDK, always a great mix of like minded people enjoying themselves :)

Myself & Jo had a fantastic time.

A few photos from me :)

Wow, what a trip. Many thanks James and Brian for organising this, best event ever?

I hadn't realised we were meeting up before getting on the boat, sorry guys.

Had to drive straight to work from Hull yesterday, but will post some photos soon.
