Thanks, but sounds too clever for me.
Just bought myself a retirement present which I was going to share, but I didn't know how to get it off a SIM card inserted into the laptop. I don't do any social media, so I don't have an online place to post anything.

Host on photobucket, Flickr, or similar (by uploading) then share the link. There are sticky posts that describe the detail.

Thank you again, but it's all Greek to me. I'm used to just clicking on an "add attachment" button to be taken to a desired part of my laptop. Isn't that normal on other forums. You will recall that this is a DIY retirement present, I'm not some young tech kid. Anyway the good intent was there. Thanks again.

Several other forums I frequent have the facility to Add Attachment, and very nice it is too, but when I asked about it on DDK this is not possible in the interests of simplicity.

For what it is worth, I have used Tinypic, a sub-set of Photobucket, a system without all the kids stuff on it, and it has been great bar one recent glitch in the last 10 years or so.
I an no computer geek for sure and I can do the picture stuff with ease this way.

I would not say DDK is a normal Forum, far better than that. :)

Very easy to add pictures if you use Tapatalk - take a pic or save one on your smartphone and add to your message.

My understanding is that hosting pictures ourselves significantly adds to the cost because we need to buy the storage space ourselves. Tapatalk is definitely the easiest way to do it. Photobucket is a right pita to use...

Just adds overhead to the server, requires more maintenance and means you've just got an ever increasing load to back up. Also effects speed on server. I turned it on before and it caused lots of additional work and caused issue so let's leave it as it is. It's not difficult to post images and there are threads to talk you through it

The following pocket watch was given to me by my father. Passed from my grandfather to him when he was made Managing Director of the family company passed to me for the same.

Heuer 510.501 with box NOS condition £2495

Post by IXXIfan »

I didn't think I'd be selling this but needs must... they don't come much nicer than this one.

Rugged and practical, powered by the very robust military spec' Lemania 5100 movement (as they all are)

Just had a professional £465 service and has a 2 year guarantee. (receipt supplied to buyer)

Needless to say everything operates flawlessly and it has a 40 plus hour reserve.

New old stock condition with the original box.

£2495 or a very close offer 7c43fan@gmail.com

Can be inspected in Basingstoke

Waw... What an extremely nice watch!

I'd wish I had the funds, but unfortunately I don't at the moment...

This is a real laugh, I tried to access Flickr because I vaguely remember seeing somebody else's photos several years ago on Flickr and thought I might have a historic account. When I tried to log in there is obviously some BT connection because it took me directly to my BT web based email account, no option to upload photos at all. I then went to the Tapatalk website as well and that didn't offer an idiot proof means of uploading a photo somewhere. I can see this becoming a full time hobby, just trying to share a photo. It's a lot easier on 911uk you know, click on "add attachment" and bingo.
