No, it’s on the other carriageway in the outside lane Sladey. It looks like it might be an RS too.

According to Italian sources researching the Targa Florio in readiness for the proposed €6m renovation of the Floriopoli pits (possibly including a museum of pictures and artifacts) this picture has been discovered from the 1968 Targa of the factory reconnaissance cars. Interestingly, according to the research, it was at the request of Ferdinand Piech that the three cars should be rhd but the middle 911 looks lhd to me. Nevertheless, the other two look rhd which in 1968 would be a rare sight in Sicily.
They all have their factory export plates (which I always thought were oval in shape but there you go).

They're just normal Stuttgart plates - export ones were oval back then, as you say. Fab pic.
