Sounds lovely Keith - you're gonna have some fun in that in the not too distant future and as with all these things the pain will soon become a distant memory!

Regards

Oh lord - I so nearly bought a Chuck Iverson plate surround for my car!

You beat me to it. It's yours. I can't do it now.

Looks great.

There's a good possibility that's where my car came from originally...

Three steps forward, two steps back... Or is it, two steps forward, three steps back? Oil leak from rear of RH cam chain housing. BW came and fixed it, but it still leaks just the same, so it looks like it's the aluminium plug in the end of the oil spray bar that's at fault... Muffler off, bumper off (which I really, really wanted to avoid as it's such a PITA to align) and back to square one. Sigh...

Few deep re-builds go 100% straight.

'If at first you don't suc...."

Keep at it.
I know all too well how low these points can be, and I'm not alone on here.

You now know the source, so that is a big positive!
Simply got to fix it now.

At least it is not some rattle on the crank shaft etc.

MOT'd and...passed! Personal MOT inspection form the one and only Crispin Manners, so no corners cut. Couple of advisories, but no major problems. Now to get it running properly. Think part of the problem is fuel starvation as pump is clearly cavitating, so need to look into relocating it and/or rerouting fuel lines. But it's got an MOT! :)

No better feeling than getting that 1st MOT after restoration. My 911 race car took 4 years to build and got my MOT earlier this year - i know how chuffed you must feel.
