I was always satisfied with Classicline - having an actual phone number that they picked up was good. My only gripe with them was that they wouldn't insure me with an EU licence, despite me only wanting laid-up insurance on my splittie before I brought it over here. Not applicable for you though, obviously!

My policies with Hagerty were all with Norwich Union last year.

My 964 with ClassicLine is underwritten by ERS who have been around for years. The Boxster racer is with Hagerty for theft only and damage when on the trailer - that is super reasonable

Agree - I only moved the Boxster when I no longer needed road risk because they don’t have a suitable laid up policy.

My modified Abarth is with them too

Just changed from RH to Classicline…

For 3 cars I was re-quoted over £1300 from RH for this year so made a call and agreed just under £1100 with Classic line today….

RH called me today to ask if I was re-insuring…my policy expires in 48 hours…..I said thank you but no….I found someone else who was cheaper…without any remorse they said we thought so and said goodbye…hand shandys…how can we not just believe they are all a bunch of c*nts…

Just to add to this (I have no affiliation - just a satisfied customer):

I have 12 vehicles (4 air-cooled Porsche, 4 other classics, LR Defender plus 3 vintage tractors) insured with Hagerty. My renewal recently came in at £1040. Agreed values range from 5k - 80k, highest excess is £300. Mileage restrictions range from 1000 - 7000 PA - including the tractors

Hagerty have always been extremely helpful with my complicated insurance requirements (both here in the U.K. and in the U.S.) - multiple storage locations, imported unregistered vehicles, race cars, obscure vehicles etc. Nothing has been too much trouble.

Fortunately, I’ve never had to make a claim - but I know folks that have made claims and were satisfied with the outcome.

Thought I'd bump this up again from last year as it's that time for renewal.....

Interested to hear is anybody has seen much change over the last 12 months in terms of costs?

Just got my renewal details from ClassicLine and it's gone up from £868 to £913 this year which doesn't seem to bad and probably negates the need to seek lot's of quotes again this year.

Have used Hagerty for many years for the 911T with all the mods stipulated. I don't bother shopping around for the car, it is cheap to cover with agreed value etc.

I also have the Lola covered with Hagerty (in the garage, on the trailer on the road, stationary at the hillclimbs) and also the Brian James trailer when at home etc.
The Boxster was too young for them, but had it covered with LV for several years until last year when the premium increased by £30% (no claims at all). They were not that bothered I was moving away after 6 years.

Cancelled the auto renewal which was a struggle, and eventually went to SAGA no less at just below the LV premium of 3 years ago!

My renewal was in October & I stayed with Heritage/Norton Ins as, although the premium had gone up ~10% compared with last year, they were still the cheapest.

I paid £378 for my 911T, Giulietta Sprint & Fulvia 1.3HF - all with agreed value cover - although this doesn't include breakdown insurance as that was cheaper to organise separately (£120 UK/Europe for all 3 cars).
