The little Yamaha YB1 arrived this afternoon!
Looks great, needs just what I want to do to it too.
So much is bang-on, some other bits need some TLC, and nothing serious.
Starts first kick!

Dead chuffed!

That's a lovely looking thing. When the finish is up to your usual standards, it will be fabulous.

Only just seen this thread now. I've been busy with the innards of my Mondial lately. It made it round the Motogiro D'Italia in May, but had oil retention and consumption issues due to a troublesome crank case breather, and towards the end, gear selection became very difficult. Stripping down now, so hope its something relatively simple!

Thanks for that!
It is a looker and i love the lightness of everything.
Doubt it is more than 40mph but i bet that will be fun.

Biggest issue is the rear and to some extent the front rims and spokes are a bit rough, maybe too rough to tolerate.
However, so much is good.
The chrome is amazing for 5K miles and 24 years, the frame paint the same, all ID decals in place and much more.

Saddle cover is too far gone and that seems tricky to find somewhere to fix it in something similar to original.
Spares are a bit thin on the ground but not as ratified as the Terrot's were!

Some of the very small bits are nice, the tube valve covers have a moulded slot to remove the valve inner cartridge, never seen that before.

Will start a thread in Member's Others soon, I will appreciate your comments as ever!

I want it to look as good as the Honda:
