Weird how Porsche 911s have become Lamborghini?
Skittles colours as everyone has the same car and the same wheel combination.
Only driven to Car meets by men with jewellery - an expensive mechanical watch instead of a gold chain.
An intimate relationship with a mechanic that dictates where you live.

I thought I had posted something on here already. I was at Tuthils just before CLM for a visit and they showed us around this car with the promise of no photos or info to be put on social media. The thing is unbelievable, everything is built specifically for this, gearbox, engine and all parts, body panels. The car was commissioned by an exisiting customer who lives in LA I think. Basically they have built him a toy for road use to the exact spec that he challenged them to, and now they have all the tooling set up to be able to do it again. You are right its completely impractical, but its what he wanted, basically a weapon to tear up the LA canyons. God knows how much it cost, but clearly the guy could afford it.

I'd much rather have one of Jon (Miller)'s bespoke creations ...

Couldn't agree more ^^^
However, Tuthill took the job on for the guy in LA and seem to have done a very good job.
The investment by people involved would be huge, but, Pay your Money, take your choice.
There is currently only 1 x 911k, there are many Singers.
Everyone is happy who are involved, so a good result.

I just don't understand how that works. To develop and build all that stuff bespoke for one customer, even a very rich one makes no sense at all. I mean a really really rich one. It must at least be the "Singer" design of motor. It might make more sense as a business proposition where one person pays the dev cost and they share in the sales of future 911ks

Simply cash driven.
If you have enough you can have what you want.
Personally I think it’s great there are wealthy individuals out there willing to commit significant sums to this kind of project.
It may not be to everyone’s taste, but in this increasingly restricted world we live in a one off (or a few off) like this is fab.

Agreed Gary.
The argument of 'I wouldn't pay £500,000 (plus) for a Singer when I could buy a ......' is a futile one - if you can spend that sort of money chances are you can also have the alternative sitting in your garage.
I really like this 911K however the 930 Singer Turbo pictures everywhere are a bit meh to me - that's just personal taste., doesn't mean I can't appreciate what's going into them

I love this tuthill car .. would have one tomorrow , in a different colour etc . Would look great sat next to my dream RUF 964 and alongside a nice Ferrari 330GTC and 356 speedster . Whats that I've spent there ? about 2 mill ? Almost 1/2 what the latest F40 sold for so actaully a bargain
.. forgot , I need space for an F50 and a genuine 73RS . Looks like my euro lottery win rate needs to improve ... won £2.40 last weekend

I’ve promised MikeB, majordad and Garrettdee that we will each have a 911k when I win EuroMillions this evening - sorry James!

Absolutely, at this end of the market there is no ‘this or that’ it’s generally ‘I’ll have this, that and another one for a spare’

And when it comes to bespoke, one-off, creations, I reckon Jim Glickenhaus’ Ferrari P4/5, based on Enzo mechanicals, at a cost of a mere $4m, is the ultimate (god knows how much it would sell for now if he ever decided to put it in an RM Sotheby’s auction)…
Personally I applaud the billionaire petrolheads of the world - Francois Perrodo (fanchracing) being another one - who are prepared to spend their cash on exotic toys, drive them as intended and share their passion with fellow petrolheads who can only dream of owning and driving these incredible machines. Bravo!

You will get a call from Laura Harris.
The press coverage will be interesting. I hope some 'proper' people will drive it, and drive it properly. Chris Harris or some of the EVO/Octane drivers (Meadon).
Huge sideways drifts on an airfield is a load of crap (imho), silly, pointless and totally unrealistic.
Maybe a good run on B roads to a beauty pagent!

I know of at least 3 others that will raise the game - AGAIN! Lips are sealed though.
Is one a 912 that revs to 12,000?
