Got in the car yesterday morning and the pads where much quieter. When at the end of the journey after 6 hours, most of it hot (24c), they where noiser but not as bad as the previous time.

Also the pedal got a little softer with heat. Is that a side of some air in the system or the dot 4 warming up? The garage that installed a caliper wrapped a brake line with foil. Not sure if the other side was done.

In my 12 years with this set of pads never had a change of feel (hillclimbs and road and dot4 fluid), just the noise which some days are quieter than others.

I thought at first it was infrequent use, but last week drove the 911 on the road about 100 miles 3 times, squeal like mad.

If the brake line was wrapped then is there a heat source very close to the pipe run?
