I’ve thought long & hard ….
Despite being triple vac’ed, with all the current uncertainty & hoohar (sp ?) around Omicron, this close to Xmas I’m not really comfortable with the potential risk from unnecessary travel & confinement.
For those that go, have a great time & hopefully life will be more normal next year.

Wished I'd seen this earlier - always enjoyed the Orange Tree annual get together!

I’ve also thought long and hard about this and don’t want to take unnecessary risks with Christmas coming and the prospect of having to isolate again (I had covid last Christmas), so I’m going to bail out I’m afraid.
Thanks Neil for organising and apologies for letting you down after all the hard work.
To those attending, have fun, take care and hope to see you all when we come out of the other side of all this.
Happy Christmas
PS it’s all paid up, so if there’s anyone else who fancies going, but missed the boat, help yourself.

…and another I’m afraid Neil, we’re looking after an ailing 98yr old here and can’t take the chance.

I’m going to give my apologies too as looking after my mum and can’t afford to take any chances. If the spare meals could be given to local homeless people by the pub it would be a good thing. Well done for organising it.

Unusually for me, I've decided to do the sensible thing & am going to give tonight a miss too ...
Apologies to Neil (& anyone else who's still going) - thanks for organising.

nice idea to donate meals if that's possible. afraid I'm going to follow the bunch here too. have cancelled other get togethers this week as like everyone have christmas and elderly relatives to think about. so bloody annoying. maybe we can try and do something in spring / when this wave has passed through.
take care all and sorry not to be seeing you all

I understand that people want to be careful.
Well my son is stepping in for someone so that is 5. Unfortunately I left my phone at home today so I can't easily contact Orange Tree. Donating the meals is a nice idea idea but I think that should be on individuals themselves to organise that.
If anymore drop out please let us know on here.
