I don't think you can extrapolate/make that assumption Mike - I'm sure that many more DDKers have a previous version of Brett's book.210bhp wrote:It’s heart warming that at least 15 out of almost 6000 on DDK are still interested in the originality of our cars for an investment of around 40 quid.

I bought my copy ~15+ years ago & it's well-worn &, although it's not without its mistakes/omissions, I'm happy to stick with that ...

It was a little tongue in cheek comment really Andy.Lightweight_911 wrote:I don't think you can extrapolate/make that assumption Mike - I'm sure that many more DDKers have a previous version of Brett's book.210bhp wrote:It’s heart warming that at least 15 out of almost 6000 on DDK are still interested in the originality of our cars for an investment of around 40 quid.

I too have the original book. It’s full of errors, as you say, and apparently these have all been rectified and expanded in the new version according to the author. We shall see.
Regards
Mike

OK, that's three more copies. Camperco, 210bhp and Gary71. Thank you.
I also have a copy of the previous printing and it's mint but the quality of illustrations does lead a lot to be desired.
Access to the high resolution pictures via the web attracted me and hey, this book will become part of my car's library. She has a good collection now.
Anyway, my birthday is today so I treated myself. 80 and still crawling under cars. Crawling NOT being the emphasised word!
80!! I can't believe it (in the words of a certain Victor Meldrew).
Keep smiling
Ian
