Last time around I ended up with Lancaster - I think Hagerty were quite expensive iirc. I have a July renewal and the engine transplant is unlikely to be done by then, so that looks like next month's job!

Question, the tyres on my car were made in 2011, and have less than 500 miles on them. Perhaps I am too accustomed to power steered cars and modern suspension and low profile tyres.

Seems the front end of my car is a bit less than stable, and wondered if the tyres have taken a few sets over various winters, and if the rubber is getting hard. Any way to test what the rubber's hardness is?

Sorry Dom, but when your tyres are 10 years old they have had it.

On the bright side, we do have all the best 911 tyres on the shelf, and the tyres you bought in 2011 were probably not as good as the choices you have now.

for these early cars the CN36 thsat Pirelli now make is a real treat specially if you compare it to 2011 tyres.
