Those rear lamps look like they're from a Gordon Keeble but the roof line/windows in your earlier post look like a Monteverdi 375 Coupe ...

Monteverdi 375.
Gordon Keeble
How was the Keeble to live with ? A metallic green example was parked close to work in Primrose Hill. Looked really niceDougieboy1 wrote:They do look like GK rear lights - I used to have a Gordon Keeble. Shared the l;ghts i think with a Ferrari 250 GTE??
with a lovely quilted interior.

Re: Trivia quiz. So anyway, what's this classic car ?
Interesting car. Was never terribly reliable whilst i had it - previous owner hadnt really spent any cash on its upkeep - so it rapidly turned into a project and as a result sat in the garage for 12 years before i sold it to fund the purchase of a 65 mustang fastback.richkaz wrote:Lightweight_911 wrote:.

But back to the keeble. Huge gobs of power from the 327 (5.3 litres) chevy turbojet engine (same as a Stingray). And quite highly geared to compensate for the excess (by 60's standards) power - if i remember you can almost get to 60mph in first. When Motor road tested one in 1964, it was the fastest 4 seater they had tested. Guigiaro design, not dissimilar to the Maserati Sebring, so to my eyes, still one of the best looking GT cars. Steering was a bit crap (worm and peg) so many converted to rack and pinion. 4 wheel disks and IRS salisbury unit as standard tubular chassis had a habit of rusting and the diff would pull out of its mountings. Fantastic gentleman's club interior often upgraded to leather which improved it no end - as you say, quilted which added to the luxury feel. You could easily get 2 grown adults in the back it was so spacious. I had no 75 out of 100.
The few occasions i drove it before dismantling occurred, it was smooth and effortless to drive. Mine had power steering so despite being a heavy car, it was relatively light on its feet - independent suspension all round clearly helped. Great sound from the big v8 - sort of regret selling it but as i was going for a full resto, it ground to a halt when a) i couldnt get the body off the chassis despite removing all the fasteners, or so i thought and b) life got in the way. Sold it to a guy who already had one that he and his dad had rebuilt and his dad liked them so much, they wanted another for him. Kind of says it all really. A very endearing car and i wish i still had it now.... along with my old TVR.... damn, this reminiscing is painful.........
