I fear you're right, Mike... I don't relish the thought of flying much at present, I have to admit. I'm already starting to think that the idea of simply paying somebody else to handle it all has more appeal.
It should have been the perfect adventure, flying out to stay with friends in their old farmhouse near Agen for a few days then a lazy 520-mile drive back to Roscoff for the ferry to Plymouth. A lovely short break in an old French car. So much for travel plans in 2020. At least we don't have the riots (yet).

^^^ Too true imho. (to Mike)
Everywhere will be £££££ esp in the hot spots of the UK for Autumn etc. People have a lot to get back, the demand will be high, and all that Brexit stuff will be in full flight as well, so UK hols will be expensive but at least doable.
Keith.. is it worth asking Darren who he has used for all the French cars/vans he has bought in?

Quotes coming in now at around £1100, which is starting to seem more appealing...

That seems reasonable all the way from France, and most excellent man maths.

Accepted quote of £869 delivered to the door by people who normally handle high-end sports cars. Due to be collected Wednesday or Thursday, will be delivered by Monday. Can't wait!

keith, would you mind sharing the name of the company doing the move for you. I have found a potential project in the south of france and want to find out the cost of getting it back to the UK. Its a non-runner and weighs 2.5 tons.....be interested to see if your supplier would consider....
Thanks
Andrew

This car seems to 'fit' to my image of Cornwall and can see this in a small fishing port basking in the sun with the passing of people licking Cornish ice creams!
Bet you can't wait until Sunday.
