Just got back on the computer after the last two hectic weeks so I also enclose a couple of photos. I spent 19 hours last Saturday in my son's 1969 2.2 911T doing a recce of a road route from Brussels to Strasbourg via Spa, Eiffel mountains, Alsace vineyards, what a DDK trip that would make!!!
I also echo the ddk event comments and what a bril job James did.
Steven, has the new addition arrived safely?
Mick, have you managed to get the headlight replaced?
Ian, Yorkshiremen are not as tight as people think are they!
Sue and I really enjoyed meeting everyone who were so friendly, a million light years ahead of another club I could name. Best regards to everybody we met and we hope to see you all next year.

Hi Mike
Great photos! Love the first one, wonder why? Still coming down from that weekend. Next time (there will be a next, won't there?) I'll stay over and try and spread a little more Yorkshire generosity.
'Cyclops' has been re-eyed and is now whole again, if a little cross-eyed (must align the lights this weekend!).
Good to meet you and regards to Sue.

I'm sure you could twist my arm into another Northern Event weekend in 2006

.
Been up in the north Lakes / Cumbria all week and apart from thinking why is it so bloody wet up there, whilst the sun is shining only a few miles south at Trent Bridge, I couldn't help but appreciate how great the roads were.
Roll on the next time.

I have some video, you would need to excuse all the squeeking from the passenger seat, wobbly camera work and the shots of sheep but it looks pretty cool! I am going to upload it as soon as I have had a chance to do a bit of editing.
I think Mdr has some footage as well.

Hi everyone
I know this is somewhat belated but better late than never etc. We just got our camera the day before the run, so apologies for:
a/ The camerawork, although Julie says it was "my driving"!
b/ Me only just getting round to figuring out how to edit it/save for web etc.
Hope the fomat (Quicktime .mov) works for everyone, if it doesn't please let me know and I'll repost it as .avi. Oh, it's 2.6mb BTW, so quite small. If you think you can stand any more just let me know and I'll post some. I just rehosted this (11/11/05) to make it easier to play:
http://home.ripway.com/2005-11/509221/ddk_qt.mov
We're up for the '06 version BTW James!
Regards,
Alan & co.

Thanks for that Alan .

I edited out the part out where we all stalled on the little rise just before that clip!
I'm up to my eyes doing a website now but I'll edit/post more soon, promise.
Thanks for the comments, watching it will hopefully keep us going through the harsh winter predicted 'till Spring.
Alan.
